30+ watch faces later, finally hit 100 syncs on one 😭

After putting out 30+ watch faces, I finally got my first one to cross 100 syncs :sob:

Feels good, but at the same time… 5,000 syncs for the Partner Program feels ridiculously far away right now :joy:

Looks great! Good job. I’m happy for you. The 1st one over 100 syncs is always a milestone! You can actually apply for the Partner Programme.

Thank you! Is the 5,000 syncs within 30 days requirement no longer needed for the Partner Programme?

No. You can apply for the Partner Programme.

Congratulations! I have one watchface that has 14.708 syncs, but it’s a video game style face and I published it over 6 years ago. On ā€œregularā€ watchfaces even with over 9k followers, mine struggle to reach 100 syncs.

That 's quite a lot of syncs! But then again, you’ve been around a little longer…
My highest is 9909, but an Apple watch, published 3 years ago, and nothing too exiting either.

Well done. 100 syncs is not a given. Hopefully you’ll make the charts with that.

A fairly old face still gets the occasional sync. It’s at 94 after a year. Total faces 492 Total syncs 1975

Since the OS6 migration, its be difficult to get syncs. Its not the quality of the face as much as if it’s being seen by users. You would think more followers = more syncs but even that is not always the case. Not every follower is going to want your next face, or may not have time to view the notification that you’ve released a new one.

Free faces will probably help gain followers, but may not always translate to paid face purchases if that’s what youre after.

There’s no tried and true formula to get more followers or syncs. Users tastes change like underwear so vary your work, see what’s trending and adapt as necessary.

Good luck everyone!

I agree with everything Rator has said here. @dialhaus.studio_face that is a great looking watch face, and yes, after 30+ faces it does feel like you should start to get some recognition. We’ve all been there. But the reality is, you have just started an apprenticeship. And apprentices have to do their time. In most cases years (Unless you are a watch face making God who just landed from outer space). And even after years most don’t make Partner but are happy that they have found a great hobby and pastime. But as a budding artisan creator, if you admire someones work (we all admire others work), or lots of other peoples work, then look at it. I mean really look at it. Zoom in. Study it. Break it down. From that you’ll be able to do your style. And you will have many styles but they will all have your smell about them.

The only other thing I would advise is… Never publish a watch on a Wednesday.

@dialhaus.studio_face . As @nsreeves has said Publish your work with a view for it to show up nearer the weekend . Even Friday morning or late Thursday . Make youself a Look of your face preferably a Video . Post the link to the Look on the several Facebook Groups . Facer Official Primerely . But Facer user s look on the other pages . There are many related to WOS and Samsung Watches . Chose the Groups that have the greater number of members . Spam Spam Spam . It is the only way these days . There are Millions of Faces out there now . Yopu go to reach ou to your Audiance . They are not comming to you . That is a jolly nice Unisex Face . You have a nice collectoon of faces on your Profile .

How is this done, Is this new feature documented somehow? Is it pro, or android only?

I don’t think any developments on Facer are announced that we’ll . There must be some Documentation somewhere . But you know me I go by trial and error error error . It only works On the Mobile Phone app . You need the face on your watch that is connected to Facer you can use the photo or Onboard Video ( by holding down the button ) . A link is automatically generated . Anything yo type about it is saved as a comment . I will happily make you one . Let me know which Face / Faces and see what happens .

As far as I understand it’s not just 5000 watchfaces to become a partner - there’s a human input to the invitation, for example, they have to be quality designs and meet Facer’s own ā€˜criteria’ which are subjective at best.

People are invited to be partners, so produce good stuff and you are halfway there.

No, since they introduced import of .aab files, you can apply once each month. Main thing is to make the impression your faces could be popular. Best is, if you already had success on some of the other platforms, then they will gladly have piece of you too.
