Samsung Watches already have an hourly chime and ticking for every second if you want, it’s weird that Facer is making this a thing.
@ed.ludwig
If you are wearing a Facer watchface your watch, I don’t think it will beep on the hour unless you have a face that has the chimes added to it. At least I don’t think so, it’s been so long since I wore a Facer face on my daily watch I’ve forgotten.
Problem is we have a feature, we got the announce mails, but the feature is not documented,
where did you find this?
Here the news article to chimes:
Ok, when I first red that, maybe from the excitement I overlooked that little detail.![]()
I understand it is in beta phase, but still it is an advertisement rather than documentation.
Tried one creator made face that was supposed to chime on the hour, but it didn’t. To make sure it wasn’t user error I loaded one of the Facer demonstration faces, the cartoon style cuckoo clock. Did the expected on the hour, so the new feature works.
I have an app on my phone that does ships bells.
Early days with the feature so the team would appreciate any bug reports to Facer Support I’m sure ![]()
Not weird at all. Does Samsung have hooting owls, singing birds, croaking frogs and more that enhances the faces? I’m having a lot of fun with the chime feature.
The chime works no matter what face you are wearing, the seconds ticking needs to be a compatible watch face.
This is all exciting stuff, might even get my laptop out and have a look myself sometime soon ![]()
It’s a Monet feature.
And since you get no Monet, you’re Baroque. ![]()
Seems I was judging too early, now I can not see it anymore…
The Chime feature is a configuration and wont work on Tizen. I havent tried it out because I find it annoying and I have disabled that function on my Gear S3 Frontier. But have fun!
Maybe I just got confused, it seems that on Edge browser I can see this feature and on Opera I do not.
Well, I’ve found that if a saved face design still in draft mode won’t open in Firefox, it will open in Opera and Chrome.
Yes, I am experiencing the same issue. I can see it in Safari, but not in Firefox. I have also had some problems importing WAV files. MP3 files work without any issues.
I love creating them, but
You bring up a good point. I love creating them, but it can bother some people. I learned that the hard way hearing an owl “hoot” on the hour all night long. I disabled it after the frogs, but forgot to do so last night when I had been testing an owl.
Whoever thought that this could be related to smartwatch? It boggles the mind - i envisage an army of frogs on the march ![]()
No army. Only two.
Please send a ticket to the team if you’re both still seeing this intermittent disappearing act for the Chimes feature, as well as any other difficulties you may be experiencing. Your feedback is essential in helping us make improvements for you!
Please feel welcome to let us know your ticket number(s) so we can dig into the problem as soon as possible ![]()
