Facer Originals Exclusive Partnership

I find this intresting . One of the main Attractions to me was that Facer seemed to have an Open source Ethos . I know one thing for sure is I will Never be Invited to be a Facer Originals Partner .

It doesn’t really change anything for most people, rather it just adds a new optional avenue of opportunity for Partner designers who make the choice to be exclusive to Facer. As I see it, it’s a way to reward that commitment and loyalty. Partners whose faces are only available on Facer bring a value to the platform and the subscription model. This Facer Originals is a way of recognizing that.

I am only expressing my opinion . I will be surprised if any of the New Partners that have Faces on other Platforms Notably the Google Store would feel free to comment on this one . They helped through the transision to WFF now they get sidelined . I use the Work of AMOLED ( amoledwatchfaces tm ) , will he be asked to take down his Apps from the Google Store since he is Aslo a Facer Partner Now .

They didn’t help the transition, they had a head start. No one is being asked to take anything down, Facer is just rewarding the loyal.

I do not understand what is being disloyal about Contributing to Facer for 6 or more years . I think those whose Faces utilised WFF features correctly gave Facer a loto of help during the transision . I wonder why imported Faces can not apear on the Facer.IO / Explore / Newest . Why give Makers the Opportunity to Import .aab Flies then Sideline them and say People are being Disloyal ?

To add . I bet amoledwatchfaces tm Tomáš Marcinčin gave a lot of Assistance .

I’m not saying people are being DISloyal at all, I’m saying that Facer is rewarding those of us that only publish on Facer. Seems fair enough since others publish on multiple platforms and therefore have multiple streams of revenue. The Facer only partners only have Facer, so what’s the gripe?

I just Feel it is disrespectful to the New Partners that were offered Partnership Because they had Faces on other Platforms and now are will be excluded . No skin of my Nose for Sure . I have a Cats Chance in Hell of being a Partner anywhere . I appreciate that the Standing Partners might feel that the revenuse stream is split a little . But I am quite certain that the Transision cost Facer a Lot of business because the Useres Suffered . Many don’t need an excuse to get a new watch but very many have watches that would not install Facer from the Google store any more .

It’s not disrespectful. They’re not being excluded, in fact they were INcluded here and offered an ADDITIONAL stream of revenue. Also know that if there are only 50 people making a product, then you add 100 more, everyone will be making less because the money will be spread around between 150 makers instead of 50. So Facer saw fit to reward their originals with some more exposure. They’re not giving us money, none of this may ever translate to more purchases, but it’s a nice gesture to those that have only ever published on Facer.

Plus WE as designers got screwed. They took all of our toys away. VARs, location, sunrise/set, DWE, etc, etc. While WFF guys still had all of their toys to play with, and NOW can sell faces with all the bells and whistles on Facer that WE DONT HAVE ANYMORE!

That being said, I don’t have anything against the new guys, and I’m sure THEY understand why they’re not being immediately included in this new system.

I think we both recognise each others feelings on the subject . I wish the other Platforms had all the Interactive Tags that Facer Pro Had . I look forward to see the how Facer will Feature the Facer Originals Work .

I can understand how you feel, Russell. I tried to join a Facebook Group a while back but was refused because I did not design at multiple platforms. That’s kind of the opposite, isn’t it? I no longer have the link, but some of the partners on FB who publish at other stores may be able to provide it for those who need it.

What “Bells and Whistles” does WFF have the Facer does not?

not all of these are fully correct, but you get the idea.

Hi @Linlay . I wonder which FB Group you are refering to . There are so many out there . I joined about 6 I think . Only to see what is going on . I do not contribute to them unless the Question is possible to answer . I will never take FB as seriously as I would like to with Facer . I am publishing on Watchmaker because it has a few Gadgets I love . I have been Dumped by Timeflik as a Partner , one presumes for not being commercial . Sadly they have not honored my contract and paid me my Share of the money for the Faces I sold for them ( 3 Cents a Face ) . So it is all a bit of a Battle Ground out there .

@Rator I would happily swap all that for 6 @VAR .

Shit, I’d take ONE VAR!

WOW!!! I had no idea. It’s 100% possible to have all of those things in Facer Creator. I’m really surprised. I have those things in my software.

@Russell I don’t remember the name. I think there are other Facer members who are active in there - which is why I responded when someone sent me a link. Maybe, based on the multi-platform requirement one of the members will be able to figure it out to offer a suggestion for you privately.

Please give me 2 . Reset is useful .

We will see .

Just to add to the list - there’s all the tags that don’t work once WFF was forced onto us.
