Wow, thx. Thats a great version.

Hi petruuccios, as I said, I donā€™t know much about codes. What I did was modify the Gauss code. But Iā€™ll try this code of yours to see the result.

Love the idea of animation and that last one was simple yet elegantly done.

GAUSS is soooo right. Some people want simple and light watch faces where others want super complicated with the more the better idea behind the design.

Even with Studio Voxā€™s excellent inspection example above, creating a real animated flip clock has been quite a challenge. Kudos to Studio Vox if you are in the forum! Iā€™ve been working on this for way longer than I should have, trying to reinvent the expressions etc, but itā€™s finally getting closeā€¦

Thatā€™s amazing, VERY WELL DONE Brad :clap: :smiley::+1:

I never dared go near that. Fantastic job. Get it out there. This is a concept worth showcasig
Also @russellcresser seems to be grooming me for a feedback guy soā€¦
Battery indicators, day number.

You have done an amazing job here.

Once you have the time to sort hours and minutes as flip and the seconds as something else then I ams ure there will be room for more detail but is excellent to see a second, and very succesfuly diplsy of one of the most complex concepts here to do right, and it has been. Nice one!

Iā€™m speechless :clap::+1:

Thanks guys! @rob.fisk , feedback is good! Good points, day number and preliminary battery level meter has been started to be implemented.

Yeah, hours and minutes will be easy to add now in a future version. Itā€™s not a priority since their animation doesnā€™t flip as frequently and only serves to make the numbers smaller & less eye catchy, at least in my mind.

Iā€™m thinking there should be a shadow as the seconds flip. Not too sure how to implement that. Does anyone think it is necessary? Maybe a custom sequence? Or perhaps a custom black image, set to 50% opacity, with the height set to #Dsm#? Hmmā€¦

I think it is worth having look. I was working on a real flip clock and got to 2. But you are the man of many Layers. I reckon you could have about 300 layers if you needed them. :rofl:
I will have a look on my Laptop in a bit remind myself what I was doing . Just relying on the stock shadow I think.
Looking very nice. Such shame we can not have the Sound.

For me those hands are too much invasive,maybe two external digital style with no center

Really, really awesome!! Good work!

So I did not get past 1 Simulated with the hrs Slider . I thought the width animation adds a bit of perspective . I quickly realised it was too much for Me . Might take it up again when I retire. :laughing: :rofl: :rofl:

Yeah I agree with you @alsx65 , the big hands were too invasive. Iā€™ll leave external digital ones for a future revision - I like that idea. For this revision I made them to be a smaller floating style without the big axle in the middle. Itā€™s probably at least a little better.

The flipping shadow is still eluding me at this time. After a few tests, Iā€™m leaning towards a custom sequence shadow set to go every 10 sec on the left digit, and continuous 1 sec long on the right digit

Edit: I got the sequence shadows working pretty good, just having trouble syncing them upā€¦ The trigger for a sequence is either on sync or on wake. Does anyone know how to trigger a sequence to exactly match when #Ds#=0.000000? In testing on the watch and triggered by sync, the flip shadow sometimes works, sometimes is out of sync by a bitā€¦ Wake trigger wonā€™t work.

Really better looking :+1:

I actually preferred the Hands you had on it before, but itā€™s like everything really, all a matter of personal taste.

As a follow up, I figured out how to sync the shadows with the flipping digits. Had to do it old animation style before the sequence feature was implemented into Creator.

ie: In the opacity window:
$(#Dsm#-#Ds#)>(1*0.125)&&(#Dsm#-#Ds#)<=((1+1)*0.125)?100:0$

Aside from the hands issue, I think this is close to being done now. :v:

I still preferred the original Hands, and that shadowā€¦cool how youā€™ve got it set right, but it looks ā€œoutta placeā€ to me, a distraction. Sorry my friend, thatā€™s just my thoughtsā€¦ :thinking:

I missed some of the evolution but it is looking good to me.
I like the partial hands though never saw the previous so cannot compare.

WOW, that is sooo cool.
