Personally i dont like it much but was so much fun to create let me know what you all think please guys.
Wow! That is impressive!
Thanks mike
That is AMAZING…
Thank you so much it was awkward to get the math correct so i really appreciate your nice comments
Fun with gears. nice!
Truly amazing.
Certainly a great challenge and well done to get it working.
However, I get what you are saying about not liking it much. I like and dislike it at the same time.
I really appreciate the design and it is entertaining to look at for a while, but I doubt if I will sync it to my watch.
I really take your point have tried to spice it up a bit see what you think
That’s crazy. In a wicked kind of way.
At first I did not know what put me off from this design, because I do like it. I appreciate the complexity & math involved and like the movement & mechanics plus overall look.
Thinking about it, it is the practicality of not always being able to tell the time at glance that bugs me.
Fortunately we don’t all have to like the same things, which is why Facer exists
It reminds me of that watch. Really well done @dazstacey Yeah I’m in the group of people that can definitely appreciate that something is objectively awesome to look at, and at the same time I’ll probably never use it xD
However my gripe with it is that secondary hand in your watch face that, not only it doesn’t seem to really be pointing at anything, but the design and size also makes it move beyond the case of the watch, which… kind of breaks any illusion of it being a mechanical thing. I think a good step in the right direction would be to resize that secondary crazy hand so at the very least it won’t appear to move off-screen!
This is fantastic!
I like it. Personally, if it was published, I would sync it for a while for the wow factor.
It does look difficult to tell the time initially and sometimes you have to wait for the hour hand to rotate from behind the cogs before you can tell. Would be easier to tell if the rotating cog was on top of the minute hand.
Love it. A nice combination of coding and design.
@AllenMiquel: talking about crazy hands, I’m thinking to the Freedials from Nord Zeitmaschine
Wow! Didn’t know this crazy watch. Awesome mechanics.
And there you have it…
