I am also having this issue, I tried to update one of my faces to WFF and it broke my animations. Now I can’t update any of my old faces or make new ones until this is fixed. Adding a blank frame won’t work since the animations are only 2 frames each, and none of the other work arounds work for me. I want to make more stuff and update old ones but it’s all on hold until this bug is fixed.
how fast are they, how long is the animation set? I think, in this specific case, those can be replaced by two individual images, that are set to blink in “opposite times”
Dang! I was just going to report this workaround but I’m guessing I’m still slow at figuring things out!
However, there is a way to resolve the “blank” gap, and that is to have an underlying image of the FIRST frame, delete it from the anim itself, add a blank image to the front of the anim, and add the deleted FIRST frame as a static image under the anim. This way you won’t, or shouldn’t, get a gap in your anim and it should also loop correctly.
I haven’t tested it, but, in theory, this should work. Please let me know if it does…

Good news, it’s finally fixed!
GIFs are showing correctly again in the Creator.
Just a heads-up: if your published watchfaces are still showing the static first frame, you only need to update and republish them. That refreshes the animation and fixes the display issue.
Everything looks normal again after doing that.
Big thanks to everyone who joined the discussion and helped test things out while we were trying to figure this out!
Ignore my deleted post.
I hadn’t published yet, so I didn’t think the heads-up mentioned above had any reference to my creation. But it does, only differently. Once you’ve saved your creation, you have to load it again for the creator to refresh. Now it’s working fine in creator AND on my watch.
Thanks guys (and gals).

The new update to the creator fixed my issues as well! Yay! I’m happy because I haven’t worked on my watches for a good year, and I got the itch to do some more, but the animations broke.
Thankfully it got fixed quickly enough that the itch hasn’t gone away.
