I know what you mean @russellcresser. I have an old TRS-80 MC-10 computer (that still works rather well, after I soldered in a video card upgrade that a hobbiest semi mass produced) and there is still is an active community writing one line games for that machine too. Nothing I would ever play with, but it’s a fun hobby exersise for those guys & they still produce some pretty clever stuff for such an old machine.
I play with the BBC Microbit now and again. I like the minimalism of those kind of things. Those Ziglog Chips were developed for NASA to use but they were out of date as they rolled of the Production line. Brick Shit House Technology is what we call it over here.
