Hi everyone!

Facer Tizen 5.1.3 is now available on the Samsung Galaxy App store. This release features a big improvement to rendering performance. So your favorite watch faces should look even better after updating!

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are currently running Facer Tizen 4.2.6 or lower, you will need to uninstall the previous version before downloading the 4.2.7 update. To uninstall, long press on your watch face, and tap the “-” button next to the Facer icon.

Here’s the changelog:

Critical Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue causing freezing on the S2 and long delays on current models (starting with S3); NOTE: S2 users, please follow-up with us here or at facer-support@little-labs.com if you are still seeing freezing issues.

Other Fixes & Tweaks:

  • Improved rendering performance. This is most visible on faces with various types of animations (e.g. image sequences, moving/fading/resizing shape/images/text). Enjoy!

This update has started to use more battery life than the previous version. Any idea why? this update is the only thing that I have changed on my watch so it has to be the cause.

I can also confirm the battery drain after the update. Battery lasts hardly a day.

What type of watches?

I just switched from WearOS to Tizen and I don’t have a good comparison.

Then again, I came from a LG Sport (4-6 hrs at best) to Galaxy (~2-3 days)

I too am experiencing the battery drain from facer on my gear sport. And I just run it as a watch primarily.
