Can’t it be done without the smooth mixing? Just make the orange appear at 25 percent and disappear at 15 percent.

I think you can do it having orange layer opacity set like:
$#BLN#<26&&#BLN#>15?100:0$
and red layers like:
$#BLN#<16?100:0$

Thank you. This is functional and does what I imagined. But there was a problem from the beginning, it showed orange all the time, regardless of the battery status. Then I tried to delete the spaces and everything is fine now. Thank you.
