A new way to use dynamic backgrounds

Hi everybody. Thought i present you this face because i found out how to add and make part of the dynamic backgrounds, text as demonstrated here. Also i could cut out space for 3d reasons, like for the date. And added some DATA-circles too. The background looks for me, much more attractive, entertaining and supporting data, we want in a face.

Let’s hear it from you.

I like the way you made the glass effect on subdials and time. That is something really special.

The hands could usee some shine on edges, even if static. This way they look paper like flat above all the parade in background.
I also think it would look much better, if the animation was in seamles loop, or if it would fluently slow down to become static image, not just skip to beginning or freeze on last frame. Actually I could not see what so special, until i switched to the dim mode and back.
Dont forget to check the date color in dim mode, I think it would better stay the same as in active mode.

Well many face makers use GIFS and put elements on it. Me too, like the hands. But i also like to model my objects and after that add a FX all in Blender. So i use Blender, i can advise it to everyone.

So first step is the the shaping of the background object, in this case a cylinder, for the base background (no color), add two extra, smaller ones for the dial. Then i use those 2 dial cylinders with a modifier, called boolean (method difference), to create these sublevels for the dials. I let these dial cylinders rotate a little to the front side for shadowing, but i do not make holes there. For the date i did, using the same method. FX stands for effects, complex procedural textures, holograms and such. For the text i used another method, Knife project. So that i could curve the text in the cylinder. Tutorials are free too on Youtube. I need to learn these effects too, to make my own. Just a matter of time… I spend already lots lots of hours.

After that, i add a color asset (material) from the free Blenderkit, they have a very cool set of all kinds of stuff, resembling glass, metal and FX. To project that material of my shaped cylibder. I used for this the last one, it is called Symbiote with Aura Power from Giovanni Franca. Kudos to him.

Hi Peter, thanks for commenting.

Well i tried many things for the looping of the animation. Because F limits here strong but also offers a kind of way to do animations, one cannot make the animation as fluent as on my computer. Also it is another hardware of course. On my pc i play animations of 250 fps, fluently. That means 250 images to be stocked and timed in sequences. I can tell you not how many times, F said save error, because of the quantity and quality of the pictures. So, the next thing is to find a concession so that there is still looping and fluently enough…
So, i made 6 sequences, 3 for the animation to run forwards (reversed), 3 to run backwards (setting not reversed), as to create these looping animations. Each has 20 images, except the last one of the sequences running forward. That one, has one PNG picture more, Each sequence has a duration of 1 second and i time each one to run 3 times. So in total i have 12 secs animation. For each sequence you need to pick every time the right one, 120 times. I will check later on if there is room for correction …

Sadly, you need to awaken all of my faces. I do not know if there is a way to show the full animation, when browsing. I assume that there are too limitations for presenting to the fullest animated face. Sadly.

I think later about your other remarks.

Thanks
Patrick
