But I can upload 4 watch faces to my watch. Why is this?

My ticwatch can only store 4 as well.
I assume it depends on the watch…

If you tap 3 times like changing a watchface, go all the way to the right where you see a hashed circle with a plus sign (+) in the center, tap that and a menu will open. Scroll down until you see “Recently used” and tap that. It will bring up all the Facer watchfaces that are saved on your watch.

Thanks for that! Did not look at that for a while, because it did not work.
Upgraded WearOS recently, maybe that did it…
