Everybody is in the same boat. I cannot express in words (that my mother would allow me to use) how I feel about Google. However, such is technology. When I started with watch faces I spent hours on the artwork. Had I known about AI, I wouldn’t have bothered. Coming from the Microsoft side I watched Windows evolve. Some for convenience but mostly for security. I used to imagine a special place in Hell for the malware writers and hackers. Each new OS took something away but had to add more so people wouldn’t complain. They did complain though because they had to buy new computers to run the new OS and stay safe online. Remember when Apple used to brag about being so safe? That didn’t last long either.
As for partners showing up here, some do not speak English as easily as we do. Not only is running a translator a chore, but translated comments can be more easily misconstrued. That may be why they avoid chit-chat here.

“dumbed down” is the same expression I’ve been using. And it’s so absurd that this is what an “upgrade” forces. Google has stripped the smart from smartwatch face. I’m sure it is true that the tech and sensors and software and all that in the new watches is getting better and better and more capable, but how do they not get that a huge part of that for many consumers is to have all that integrated into the faces themselves, not just the watch? It’s a massive downgrade to watch faces.
I have no experience with WFS, are you suggesting that there are a lot more capabilities available to WFF format that have not yet been brought in to Facer Creator?

As a Facer pro maker we have the possibitys to make tap pads and Custom complications.
On WFS there is some tap pads stuff but Customisble Complications are free to use . We have the Curved text and roud ended progress bars . We have Boolean masking so som intresting stuff can be done with that.
Under the Hood it is possible to Group Layers . One of the greatest benifits is the Files live on our system not on the Cloud .
Sadly We dont have VAR so wcan not make games like Dario and Chronographs .
We have no timer for super smooth scrollig . The added a 10 ms glitch every Secpnd . The only thing smooth is thier Preset seconds hand rotation . No platform is Perfect . Facer came near it .

Maybe not a lot, but some were not made compatible yet. Some are nice to have (like Russell mentioned the circular texts, grouping of elements, masking), some are really useful, but maybe they are not yet decided, how to split them, to continue with current Facers premium model, since there are complications, shortcuts, themes, custom styles, tap to change image, all directly accessible without extra payment (so far can only be imported as a whole package, unfortunately without interactive live preview). For me very dumbing is there lack of timer since wake up same as timer since tap.

Oh yeah and Onboard Bitmapped Fonts . Meaning you can set up your Weather Icons once and call them numerically .
