I find the animations very fascinating.
I could watch that for hours
for me only tick marks would still be important.
can you let the tips of the hands flip a switch?
or does the tip of the hand move a specific gear wheel?
so the elapsed hour or minute would be recognizable more quickly.
probably one of my stupid thoughts somehow flows into the next faces.

Thanks my friend, and no, there’s no switches, and it’s simply 4 (I think) separate rings, each behaving differently to each other - I love the animation on my Watch, still wearing it now
