Hello!
Today I tried to add an animated weather icon to my watch but it didn’t worked because the file isn’t supported. I would be glad to know in the future that we will be able to add animated weather icons because it would be beautiful.
Thanks a lot
Nelson
I’m no expert, but I’m pretty sure some helpful members will soon help you here, because it is possible…
You would have to use sequence elements for each weather event and slide them on and off screen as they are needed.
Sadly neither the Current Weather Layer or Sequence can use the Opacity Tag although it is shown on the Later. It is exactly as MAG says. If you need more help get back. Be prepared for a bit of work but it is worth it.
You can add GIFs, I think the limit is 25 frames.
You can not add gifs as “icons”, you have to add them as “sequence”.
You cannot change opacity, you have to move them out of the screen by changing X or Y position.
example:
$#WCCI#==1?160:2000$
So, if the weather=sunny your gif will have X position 160 (center) and if the weather is anything but sunny it will be moved out of screen to the X position 2000.
Okay, I’ll try it. Thanks for your help.
It’s also a good idea to resize gifs, 50-100kb works great.
That’s enough (in most cases) for the small screen of the watch.
Too many large gifs will slow everything and there is no need for that.
How did you get on? Can we see what you ended up with?
