What can you all animate? Here is another example of that. I looked up what defines animation. Perhaps, a successive amount of pictures of the same object, creating the illusion of movement be it 2D or 3D. If so, we can apply that concept to any object, be it data or a graphical design of something or someone.
Here, i applied my Blender knowledge on the ticks and the hour, using balls, moving balls and of course some formulas of Blender, to direct it all.
I always like animated face more than others, but that is just pure subjective, me. It brings pleasure, entertaining, another look.
Let me know your deepest thoughts…

Absolutely awesome, and aesthetic example.
Bode’s Dictionary definition:
Animation
Stuff than moves
You don’t need hefty graphic image stacks. Just something you can move with maths.
No good at maths? Play with examples like this and ask when stuck.
Very nice @pbervoets

Well thanks Rob! stuff that moves! Perhaps we are animated too
A important aspect of animation is dynamic shadowing. Together with the object, if provided, it moves with its shadowing, depending on light sources which can be animated too. I can recommend Blender for graphic design and especially animations. Frequent upgrades, steep but rewarding.
I still use F formulas to guide the sequence elements, stuffed with my Blender exported images.
The more images you use, the more smoother the animation, but then you meet some F limitations too.
F formulas i use for the sequence elements displaying hour and minutes are
- X : $(#DWE#%2)>=1?160:-320$ for the hour and $(#DWE#%2)<1?160:-320$ for the minute
- rotation : #DWFKS# and #DWFMS#
Transforming and substituting the hands with these animations make your watch unique and pleasant. Try it.
