I like it a lot. Animations often disturb me, but the speeds and delays inbetween are optimal here.
One small detail that I think deserves little more care too.
Why not make weather icons for dim mode same as the active ones? They may take larger area, but fewer pixels are lit and would make the look more consistent.

Thanks Peter. Yes, adding delays in a chain of sequences, in a interval of 10 sec, offers opportunity to combine static and dynamic and to show data. What i pay attention to, is that the end image of the last seq in the interval, matches exactly the first image of the 1 seq. The looping is important to me.
The camera perspective is also important. Top bottom does not reveal with this scene, so much as this 40 degrees camera angel.

Also the date is not so great, its placement is a little odd. Think i place it under the weather icon…

The last grey BC jumps out and spoils the effect - it needs to be ‘fancier’ and less in your face.
The small text is - well small !
