Hi there. Stumbling around in Blender and i made this oval face, full 3D. In fact 2 oval objects, one for the minutes (blue), other for hours. I love these reflections on the background.
Let us hear the comments.
Enjoy!

Hi, good idea, but I cant read the time properly, only guess it.
And there seems to be some glitch in the minute hands pointing away at about 50 and disappearing at 00.
Thank you for your remarks and bringing up some glitches. I appreciate them all! This face has 122 images and each one needs to be done correctly. An upgrade is coming soon, solving those glitches. Sorry about that.
What concerns the readability. Well the oval concept offers the opportunity to bring 3d to a face. When i look in reality at my usual watch, it is a oval look i always have on my watch. A straight face brings only 2d (and no guessing about time if every tick is present on it…), which limits for me, my creativity and the excitement i am looking for in a face. The hour display is a display based on #DWFK#, which i like more than #DWFKS#. So 0 degrees is 12, 30 degrees is 1 o’clock…So reading the hour is not so difficult. But i agree somehow with Petruuccios about the minutes. I will bring some ticks to the ring to enhance readability. As long as the beauty remains.
But where are all these new oval faces?
Updated.
Sorry, I exhausted my excitement for the oval back in October
Nice work my friend, not my cup of tea though sorry
Thank you all. Less guessing now, Peter?
It is much better Patrick
wow that’s a cool one!
