I am in the market for the best smartwatch for women and would appreciate some advice before making a purchase. My main priorities are design, fitness tracking accuracy, and battery life, especially for daily wear and health monitoring.
After reviewing expert opinions from sources like The New York Times Wirecutter, TechRadar, and CNET, two models consistently stand out:
I am having trouble deciding which one would best suit my needs. I mostly use a smartwatch for fitness tracking, sleep monitoring, and notifications, but I also care about comfort and style. My budget is flexible, but quality, reliability, and long-term software support are most important.
So, which one would you recommend? Any advice or personal experience would be appreciated.
Having to choose between Apple and Android is really down to what you’re used to, and if you want a change or not We all have our personal tastes, but my preference has always been Android. I’m still loving my older Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, and using a Samsung mobile as well. All down to personal taste really
If you are an iphone user get apple watch. If you are android samsung phone, get samsung watch for best experience with smart watches. You will find having watches from same manufacturer as your mobile will deliver best functionality
I tend to agree with @jason.clarke.uk
If you already have an iPhone, probably best to go for an Apple Watch.
If you want a WearOS watch, then you’ll need an Android phone to do the initial setup. It no longer works with an iPhone. An Android Pad will not work either!
Depending on what phone you have is what you will have to get. If you own an Apple phone Samsung watch WILL NOT work with it. And the opposite is true, if you own an Android phone no Apple watch will work with it.
@mali2bb7 Some women are choosing a Pixel Watch 3 . However there are some issues with it that will be sorted . Put it is quite Pretty .
My Wife wears the smaller Samsung Galaxy FE Rose Gold . Not updated yet .
@mali2bb7 Hi, and welcome. If you go with Android, I’d get the most recent model. Rule of thumb: At some point older hardware gets gradually left behind as operating system updates are released. Having said that, it depends on your phone model and age as well. I bought a new Samsung phone to toggle my new Samsung Watch8, even though my older phone was working well. I ended up with a system that works seamlessly.
I think its even easier than that , firstl it’s aesthetics if its an ugly watch you’ll not wear it Then its all the things above with the obvious proviso that if you have an apple phone then you need an apple watch. There’s a list of Facer supported watches somewhere - somebody here will add the link soon im sure
Ugly is a matter of taste. Men may not be as tuned into that as women are.
I purchased one of my watches because it was my style and coordinated with my jewelry. I had a jeweler create a custom band for another one, When newer watch styles became popular my watches began to look really outdated as I have become used to newer hardware designs. Remember that you can also customize a watch with different bands and covers. Amazon has a good selection of snap-on bands and covers for Samsung watches. I love coordinating my watch with different colored covers and bands.
The list of supported watches on the main page is outdated. Maybe there is a new one someplace?
Editing to add example. These photos are of the same watch, but changing the bands and covers gives the impression that they are different watches.
