Hi everyone - Thanks for the reports. FYI, we’re currently investigating this and will update this thread as soon as we have more info.
Hi all,
We’ve reproduced the issue on our side with a Samsung S3 Classic running Tizen 4.0.0.4 connected to an iPhone.
In our tests, the “Galaxy Watch” app on iPhone also crashes very regularly which seems to indicate an issue at the Samsung level. Are you guys seeing the same thing? @nelsonmandelahouse @B-One @seamonkey420.
Note that based on our tests, this is specific to Tizen 4.0.0.4 connected to iPhone only. The same version works fine connected to an Android phone. Tizen 4.0.0.3 works fine as well, even connected to an iPhone.
I have updated my watch to Tizen 4.0.0.4 / Android Phone (Honor 6x)
Same problem still exists. No possibility to send any face to the watch.
Yes! That was the issue! Thanks for your help…
Hi guys,
I’ve got the same issue. Tizen 4.0.0.4 on S Galaxy Watch connected to iOS.
Galaxy Watch app is stable with no issues at connectivity, but Samsung Health seems to live it’s own life. Sometimes I only see message that no wearable device is connected although both BT profiles run and Galaxy Watch app respond is immediate. Then after couple of hours it refreshes itself in the backgroud.
Cool! I am glad it worked
No issues connecting to the galaxy watch app. I am using the latest Tizen software with Iphone8. I have been unable to push any watch faces to my galaxy watch since the latest Tizen update. Gutted as I have just subscribed to your premium service and am guessing this is going to take a while to resolve.
Hi all,
We are currently investigating this issue with Samsung and will update this thread when we have more information. Thanks for your patience!
Thanks
Any word on a fix for this? Thanks
still not able to send any faces to my Samsung Gear Sport and the latest tizen updates. iPhone X on latest iOS. iOS app does not crash and is syncing from Gear Sport to iPhone. Facer never updates any faces when being send from website on a desktop win10 computer, facer iOS app, mobile browser.
Pick of the day works, wish we could have our own faces instead of the pick of the day options on the watches. would rather have my own faces anyday. also sure glad i never paid for the Pro creator version; would be paying for something i can’t even use. guess i’m going back to normal Samsung faces for now.
Same for me, It worked fine but then my watch crashed (standalone mode wouldn’t go) so had to reset. Running tizen 4.0.0.4 and IOS 12 on my iphone…i can also only get the pick of the day please tell me this is being fixed
i feel its a samsung issue but then again the facer app on Tizen hasn’t been updated since Jan 2019 so its prob a broken API or something that changed w/newest updates. still having issues on my end too and noticed my gear sport got only 5 hours off a full charge today so not sure if its related to facer like back in jan 2019 or not. its either Facer or Samsung that is the cause but most prob will point finger at each other and we’ll go weeks w/o this working.
if you need someone to test or get logs, i’m your guy.
my hardware setup:
iPhone X w/iOS 12.3.1
Latest Samsung Galaxy app for iOS
Latest Facer watchface/app
Samsung Gear Sport w/Tizen 4.0.0.4
Any updates for this? It’s getting a bit silly, every update seems to break something and any info seems few and far between
I’ve decided to buy a samsung phone to use with the watch instead of using my Iphone lol.
Hi guys - We’ve created an official support thread for this issue. If you have any questions, please reply there: [FIXED] Tizen 4.0.0.4 iOS Sync Issue Support Post
We will be posting updates there as we have them.
I just tried to send a face with a Samsung phone after all the frustrations with my iPhone, and the app still didn’t push any face to my watch.
I absolutely love Facer, but I may have to consider other options if this cannot be resolved soon.
sadly not many options beyond sdk and making official watch faces for tizen. i’ve looked
And for that, they want 39€! Are they crazy?!
