Centering text in shape

In the Creator I put a date in a square shape and center it. On my watch it is not centered. I alter the position of the date in the frame until it looks correct on my watch.

I don’t know if that same date will appear off-center for someone else.

Anyone else run into this?

if you center the square but align the content left or right, it will look off center on certain dates. make sure you choose the center aligned option.

Something along the lines of what I was thinking. I tried a monospace font to see if that made a difference and it didn’t.

Let me see if I can find the center alignment option and try that out.

Certainly good suggestions, but I thought I had covered those points. Perhaps not so let me show you what I’m looking at.

Below I believe I have center align turned on. The font is Roboto which should be a monospace font. With the date text aligned as shown, off center, the date is centered on my watch.

If I center the date text ( I also constrained the text field to a smaller width ) like this the date appears off center and lower on my watch.

it could be that the container is messing it up. set it to auto snap, or make it way wider like the first pic, and just visually center it like you have on the bottom pic. Sometimes fonts are off center or baseline adjusted weird.

Also, working with whole faces made of nothing but fonts I have found that sometimes the watch alignment/size just does not quite match the designer/preview. This is more the case with some custom fonts.

Good to know. Thanks.

Basically, smaller pixel ratio so rounding to nearest digit.

See this example in inspection and then most of the fonts appearing lower once synced to watch:
