I got enough designs to warrant collections now. So I thought I should sort out some banners, what do you think
There’s a couple more but I wont bore you with the rest
Whats your favorite, design or collection?

Wow these are great - both the collections and the banners!
Lol, I’m still adding the links. Thank you Mike
Hi Dave.
What software are you using to get the captures of your watches.
The cut out is not so good, you can see in all banners the white pixels around.
I use photoshop, and its really easy to cut out the faces
The rest are cool as well!
Yeah I agree, I did the banner for my homepage ok with GIMP but i could of tried a bit harder with the collection banners.
With photoshop its about 10 seconds to cut out nicely a face.
Really nice banners! I like so much Space & Digital ones
@joedoughty
What is the procedure in Photoshop? It takes me longer than 10 seconds in PSP. If it looks easier to do it in Photoshop I may change.
Hi Linlay, I just take a screenshot from the preview and use the magic wand + Delete.
Really takes me 10 seconds.
I used the purple background so you can see better the result.
What I do
Step 1 Take screenshot
Step 2 Create new (clipboard size) and paste clipboard
Step 3 Rectangle select (so i just get the watch and not the rest from the screenshot) and cut
Step 4 (Repeat step 2)
Step 5 Magic wand select and delete
Step 6 Quick Export as png
The magic wand select is just one click on any white area
Thanks joedoughty,
That is exactly what I do in PSP, but I always have to clean up extra pixels around the watch, especially if placing a black watch on a dark background. I guess Photoshop just works better!
Yeah, Photoshops magic wand does justice to it
s name.
I was using gimp, before, but now I only ever use gimp for the “Color to alpha selection”
@joedoughty, I’ve already sent this discussion off topic so I won’t make it worse. Apologies to Goatface. I’ve been adjusting my Magic Wand settings which seems to help, but I’m curious what settings you use for PS. I’ll send you a Private Message.
