Combustion Engines

There are a few pros out there that have done some marvellous work when it come to combustion engines. They definitely earned some credit. Hence this topic. But i’d also like to show you my attempt at a 9 cylinder radial engine used in the Spirit of St. Louis, crossing the Atlantic in 1927.

And here my attempt, the rods are not aligned nicely yet (thanks to @Zieneth for the code):

This is looking great! You’ll find on mine I created objects for the center rod pivots (each in this case having its own circular orbit) for the proper alignment for the rods using the atan formula. I also used a coditional for when x1 > x2 on another face using atan that works well so you only need one element (rod), while not truly needed, I think it makes for smoother animation.
Keep up the great work, I know this was a fun project

This is one unpublished with the conditional for atan

Geweldig. En vooral je kan de uren datum en batterijniveau zien en daar ga het ook een beetje om bij een wijzerplaat ;-). Maar weer een topontwerp !

This is something that would not have happened without magic code from @Zieneth
