Hi, everyone. I’m new to the Community side. And I genuinely apologize for the longer read.
I noticed that with Samsung dropping WearOS 6, and Facer making some adjustments to support it, a few complications I like suddenly stopped working all together. Specifically, wind speed and direction, and phone battery level in my case. While these aren’t “I won’t survive without these”, they were extremely helpful…have there been any updates on when this might be fixed? I attempted to submit a ticket, and the ever-patient support team tried to explain what was going on…but I wasn’t given a clear answer on how to fix it, or if there will be a patch to attempt to correct it. Now, this isn’t just on faces I’ve created personally. This is also on faces from other Facer members. I was wondering if anyone else in the community may have heard about a resolution in passing?
It will be a surprise if these Tags are ever brought back to the Third Party Platforms . Sorry to be the Bringer of Bad news . We have been talking about all this for a while .
Definitely wouldn’t say you’re the “bringer of bad news”, @russellcresser. I do genuinely appreciate the reply, though. It’s good to know it’s not a case of my watch being incompatible with updates. Especially considering the Watch4 isn’t exactly the newest model out there. Fingers crossed that Facer can get them re-integrated. A lot of creators use these features in their designs, so it’d be nice for those to be functional again soon.
Nice watch the GW4 . I have the classic . Sadly with Facer development it would not last the day on battery . I got it second user and the model was already a year old . I dont run it with facer any more . I put my WFS Faces on there . You might think about crossing the bridge yourself . We can post WFS faces on Facer.io . Sadly th Audiance is a little restricted but the Makers that Contribute here often comment on them . For me that is the best Feedback ever . However we dont have Phone battery Level SR SS . But we can show data from apps on the watch . Especialy from apps made by AMOLED . Sadly I have not seen Wind speed and Direction or Compass . My Wind Direction Compass has now been Consigned to History .
Stuck with my Galaxy Watch 4 Classic for years, totally love it, only ever use Facer. I was actually given the new Galaxy Watch 9 the other day, brand new, and didn’t even bother opening the box
Whoa now partner - are you saying that a Facer watchface now consumes more battery than it used to? I’d like to hear more about this. Because I’ve noticed my Watch6 battery now gets to about 35% at the end of a day instead of about 65% like it used to. And my use of the watch has not changed.
Partner ? Who ? After a Reboot or Cache Clearance I have to check Bixby and Google Assistant are not running in the Background . You can not uninstall them or Force a Stop . All you can do is switch of the permissions one by one on the App . That makes a lot of difference . 1% ph I reckon .
