The Dim Mode does not really work on the Samsung S2 and S3. Does somebody has any idea?
Make sure you have it turned on in your watch settings. Then in the face selection screen go all the way to the right and make sure you have it set to dim mode on classic.
Thanks, there are only settings for 12h / 24h. No settings for Dim Mode.
Hmmm and that’s on the face selection screen on the watch when you triple tap?
Yes, I think the problem is the Facer Companion version.
Any update? I was using Fossil gen 3 and Facer worked fine on it. Since Fossil no longer makes new watches, I switched to a Samsung smartwatch. Specifically, I have a Samsung Galaxy 8 Classic. We wanted to use Facer on it again, but I found out that I can’t use it. Every time the watch switches to DIM (display power saving) mode, Facer just disappears = black screen. Samsung displays normally lowe contract and stop showing some functions in DIM mode, but Face just disappears. Just black screen until watches are active agin. Without DIM support, Facer is pretty much unusable
Have you any tip how to use DIM mode with Samsung watches too?

You might want to check and see if the watchface you are using has an Ambient (dim) mode. If it does it might be so dark that your watch is showing it but you can’t see it. My Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra works just fine with Facer when I turn AOD on in the watch.
Looks like know Facer issue with new Samsing ![]()
In Wear OS 6, Google changed how the system switches from the active watch face to AOD (Always-On Display / ambient / DIM mode).
For some third-party watch face engines (like Facer), the transition sometimes fails and the system stops rendering the ambient layer, which results in:
- the screen going completely black in DIM/AOD mode
