Let me start by saying my watch doesn’t allow me to do dim mode. So here is my problem I have recently made a watch with dim mode and I can’t test it. And when I can’t test a watch face I began to worry that the dim mode doesn’t work. Does anyone know a way to make these worries go away?
Do you mean you can’t test it on your watch for some reason? I’m not sure I understand the problem.
dim mode doesn’t work on my watch for some odd reason so i can’t see if it works. I think it is the model of watch that I have.
What is the watch model? And more importantly, does your settings have an option for always on display?
I’ve often had difficulties testing dim mode myself, too often it’s just hard to force it to go into the mode. I found that if I palm the face while keeping my fingers under the watch (covering its sensors) will make it go to dim mode most of the time. If I palm the face without my fingers over the sensor, the screen just turns off.
I honesty don’t know the mode I just know that it is wear OS
Let us know when you intend to Publish the WIP . We can test it for you . Posts an inspectable draft here . We can check that out . I don’t like AOD as it is sticky . But yes Many do use it so get confident that it works .
I have published the watch face the name is “Howling Wolf w/ dim image” if you want to check it out. BTW it says with dim image because it has the same on image as a different watch face
Well that’s the most important step: making sure Always On Display is enabled. Go into settings, then display, then turn on Always On Display.
So that Face works Fine. It is Customary for the AOD display to be less power hungry than the Intermitant one. On some Platforms it has to be only 15 precent illuminated or it does not Pass.
Thank you for testing!
The Dim display works just fine because you set it to work in the facer Creator.
What Watch do you have please? Is it a Galaxy? Apple?
