Facer app can't connect to my watch

A Wear OS update a few days ago messed up Facer on my Galaxy Watch 4. Facer is now running again on the watch using a randomly chosen Facer face but I have not been able to upload any of my own faces from the Watchbox of the Facer app on my Android phone.

Every time I trry to do that, I get a message on the phone to say that “Facer needs to be installed on your watch”. What am I doing wrong?

I get a similar problem when opening the Facer App on my phone, going to Watchbox and there’s nothing in My Designs anymore, Collection. My Designs actually shows a message saying that “You haven’t designed any watch faces yet” which is extremely odd
I have the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic and Galaxy S24 FE phone.
Edit: Sorry everyone, mistake on my part! :hushed: I updated the App and forgot that I needed to sign back in…it’s all perfectly fine for me now :flushed:

Instead of using the Facer app on my phone, I opened the web-based Facer design page and tried to transfer one of my faces to the watch. I then saw the message “Syncing to your watch… (non-Wear OS6)”.

Do I have to modify my face designs in some way to make them compatible with Wear OS 6?

It’s likely that you will have to do this.

I bought my Galaxy Watch 4 over four years ago and had been using it with the same Android phone until very recently. That phone was replaced last month and I totally forgot about the need to pair the watch with the new phone. Facer kept working on my watch until the Wear OS 6 update a few days ago forced a reinstall of Facer, which of course failed to work with my new phone.

All is now well
