Any Linux users out there finding Facer Creator is very slow at the moment?
I have the impression that it is slow no matter which browser you use…
I’m using Edge on Win 10 and it’s slow there.
Have you applied the ESU licensing for Extend Support?
It’s working fine for me, Win11Home w/Edge browser
I use Google Chrome Mostly . I use Brave for the Square faces I made . I see it as being OK at the moment . Not using Creator that much . I do find it slows down a bit at the weekend and what will be afternoon in America because the server gets busy .
I use brave too and you are probably right it’s caused by the US coming onlin. The question is why? It was ok maybe 10 days ago and in my case it has made my Creator more or less un usable. Maybe it’s just that Facer has become more popular!
I moved to Linux from Windows because Windows 10 was so SLOOOOOW and I refused to upgrade just because Microsoft says I should.
Things were so much better which meant that I noticed Facer being slow very quickly.
I use Edge on Windows 10, and I haven’t noticed any noticeable speed fluctuation lately.
Did this clear up for you?
If not, please ticket this to the team and let us know your ticket number ![]()
If you are talking to me - then yes things are much better now (dont ask me how), better - not perfect
I’ve noticed this too, especially on more complex faces. Saving and previewing can sometimes take way longer than it used to, even on a decent machine. It’s not unusable, but it definitely breaks the flow when you’re iterating quickly.
It seems worse when there’s a lot of layers or image assets involved. A year or two ago it felt much more responsive. Not sure if it’s server load or just the editor getting heavier over time.
Would be interesting to know if others working on larger projects are seeing the same thing, or if there are any tricks to keep things responsive.
