The last several faces I’ve done, when I hit submit to publish I get logged out. I need to close everything and open Facer again fresh before I can log back in.
(Also, a face I did a minor edit to won’t render in the Creator editor so I can’t publish the fix. Already reported it a week or two ago and really didn’t expect any help.)
Have you tried a Different Browser . Clear the Cache of the Browser you are using . Log back into Facer . It can get stick some times .
They seem to have had issues for the last 3 hours.
I logged out and in to creator with a WIP in another tab and couldn’t save it. Had to open the older one on another screen to copy the changes and save it there.
They also seem to be forcing //www.facer.io now over //facer.io so I cleared my whole browsing history to prevent remembered URLs to the shorter one, which resolved some (about a week ago when I came out of Beta to find they had forced the changes on live)
This could help open and save a face, even if it is just a one off because you hate the browser. Try and use one that has never logged into Facer and keep it as a rescue browser. If mid work you may loose some changes but save the bulk.
Thought I had tried a different browser, but perhaps not since it worked first try.
The root cause may be the www.facer.io to facer.io switch. Could explain the issue with being kicked off after publishing.
Browser cache clear is annoying but should be tried certainly.
With the clear try just temp files and images before cookies or history.
With cookies you could also manage cookies and just remove the Facer ones to preserve other sites but since I have Chrome dedicated to Facer and the community only it’s not a problem for me.
The other thing for a single face it to open the view mode and replace ?xxxxx with /
You should get a dropdown and be able to delete the URL history for just that face. I have had this after accidentally typing /Edit instead of /edit and getting a remembered 404:
I just tossed out everything. In my usual browser I am now allowed to edit that face, although I already did so in my alternate browser since I was there.

Amazing. One of these days I’ll be bored enough to figure out what could possibly make up 1.2 GB in browsing data that needs to be kept around.
I face the same issue when I use a second account in Firefox. It will always log out after publishing.
I have not looked into it any further though…
I use Chrome and I have not had any of these problems. I have just published a face literally 10 minutes ago. What does happen to me from time to time is that it doesn’t save at all. It just hangs there and I have to restart from last save.
I use Edge and have had no problems at all…so far!
I use Chrome and have encountered these problems when Facer plays silly buggers with releases to their live web interface like for 3 hours this morning from 4-7am GMT… No, make that 4AM TO 14:22 as it still says I have no notifications ever despite 50 odd today over app.
@BIELITZ Edge is Chromium based so functionally almost identical to Chrome.
I just don’t like the MS functionality reductions and auto prompt to log into an MS account a lot more than Chrome prompts you to log into a Google one.
Quite happy to use it as an auxiliary browser and no hate to those that like it. It does have some nice bits but not enough to tempt me from my primary, FF.
