I have reached a bit of a frustrating situation. 3 of my designs, including a premium one, have been pulled by Marvin. 2 of the designs because of Tissot, which it is not. One was reinstated and waiting for another but still being pulled and I reappealed. Two designs have been recently pulled (one is a premium design) for possible infringement of Terms of Service. What does that even mean? Has anyone had this problem before? I have appealed on each occasion and waiting to hear. This seems to be happening too regularly now, even with premium designs. Surely they go through quality checks etc. where this can be picked up? Your input will be highly appreciated. Yes, I have submitted appeals and tickets.
Yes, I have had this happen before. What I found was it was caused by one of two things. Number one a word Facer didn’t like in the description. Number two was an element name that was triggering Marvin. Once you get them reinstated go through them with a fine-tooth comb and make sure the wording you use is extremely generic.
I had one pulled twice with an AI generated picture. But the picture element name was Wizard of Oz. Just that simple goof on my part triggered a takedown twice. Needless to say I fixed it on the second try.
Thanks so much. I was feeling “picked on” LMAO! I took my latest premium design I simplified all the wording and changed the name of the face (I always make duplicates), and it went through fine! Now just waiting for QA inspection. I am going to do this with the other one I did yesterday where the same thing happened - this one is a free face and both are entirely my own designs.
It seems that there have been a lot of FP’s lately. Be patient. Staff is aware.
Having a heck of a time myself too…I am having to just try to publish without descriptions (or barely a description). Just taking shots in the dark at this point.
Ha! That’s about it! One of mine that was published several years ago was recently pulled TWICE after I removed one element for WFF compatibility. Nothing else was changed. It was restored, but I’m afraid to publish it again.
You can try my little tool, it might come in handy: Facer Trademark Checker.
I’ve had several faces flagged by Marvin not only because of text in the description, but also text directly on the face, and even some completely clean models with nothing suspicious at all. Marvin just seems to see trademarks everywhere.
Always make a copy first, then do a bit of detective work to figure out what triggered the warning.
I had weird stuff happening to me as I was trying to release some new faces this morning. Old Marv kept deleting a few of mine with the “infringement flag” and there was no reason for it. I took my copy, made another and released with a different name - also deleted. I tried again and wiped away the description, still deleted. I then wiped away the tags (typical stuff nothing flag worthy) then tried again and it finally took. The final face called “DayTrack” was published yet I continued to get likes for the previous deleted version (hours later)! I also noticed that the top 100 list seems to be pretty much FROZEN for over a week now - very little movement anywhere from top to bottom. Something is up in Denmark.
I gave up appealing against Marvins Miraculous Take Downs quite a while ago now… Marvin does what Marvin does… he truly does walk in mysterious ways ![]()

Yes, all of the Take downs I have had by Marvin, I have just accepted and moved on. I still have drafts so I can enjoy, but no one else can.
Yip. I’ve noticed that the top 100 free faces has been virtually frozen for over a week now. I think they forgot to defrost the freezer! I’m sure that they will get around to it.
LOL - Maybe they are doing system maintenance?
I was so upset when my own ai made design was removed! The title was “pumpkin spice latte” and it was a cup of coffee for pete’s sak-. nothing else- oh wait a cinnamon stick and a pumpkin. I made it myself. I have appealed, so hopefully they will let me know what is wrong with this. I even just searched for that title and found nothing like mine. Mine are free!!! Several people got a chance to download it before it was taken off. I got wonderful comments about it. What gives??
If the removal notice says “possible TOS violation” that means likely a false positive in the graphics. Seems like there’s been an uptick of those. Basically the filter is interpreting something as NSFW.
But if the notice say “possible trademark infringement”, then that means a word in your title or description is causing the flag. They will vever tell you what word, so you have to figure it out for yourself, kind of dumb, but I think I understand their reasoning. … still kind of dumb.
Well, I have also been “caught”.
I looked at the copy and really do not see an infringement. Perhaps my naming convention is now a problem - would not be the 1st time… It is call “TX-M120 Speed6”. M120 could be related to the BMW car.
What do I conclude?
- No more cool names for a watch face (which I have said before)
- No more naming convention! I think I’ll have to go for @mrantisocialguy 's approach and just number them through…
Speed6 is either a Bentley or a Mazda ![]()
yeah, obviously a false positive. But this seems to be happening with a lot of AI generated art. I don’t know if they recently tweaked the filter (which is probably itself AI) or what, but I’ve been hearing more and more about false positives lately.
I think the top 100 is stuck because so many people are posting Halloween faces and Facer froze the list to keep them off of it.
Yes, I think so too, not much changed lately…
