Fossil Gen 5, watch face does not update but watch otherwise works fine

Good morning.

My 5th Gen Fossil Carlyle watchface will freeze sometimes during the day. The time will freeze even though the watch still shows to be connected(on the watch and phone). The auto dimming and all other functions(well, except ‘weather’ never connects or updates either, but I’m trying to be patient about that one…) work as intended. I’ve tried everything to get it to update and come back to the right time, nothing works except a restart. I even switched from Facer face to stock face and then back, but the face is just black…although everything else works fine.
