I have a Galaxy Watch 7 OS6. I just discovered that I now can download many more faces than previously able to.
I downloaded one of my favorites with premium options. The face downloaded but none of the customable features work except for hand color change. Michael O’Day C1023 Minimal.
Of course I am running all latest versions on watch, phone and app. Restarted all.
Does anyone have any info or help with this concern.
Have you asked the designer if he has an OS6 compatible version for that one? He may be able to redesign it to add some of the app launchers separately instead of one switch to all. As for the other features, as mentioned above, Google thought it would be a good idea to restrict those to save the battery.
it’s possible that the newly available faces are because the designers have modified some older faces to make them WFF compatible. But in those instances, yes none of the interactive features besides app launchers and theme picker will work on WearOS 6 watches. (thanks Google ) But I did see Mike Oday mention he was trying to do update his old catalog, so that could explain why you could suddenly get that face again.
Some App launchers are working, but on Samsung watches they launch Google products only. So for Health, you have to install Google Fit, which is available on samsung watches. Not ideal, but hopefully a fix in the future will come where the app launcher opens the fitness app that is installed on the watch rather. Weather launcher does not work on Samsung watches, as its not compatible with Google Weather.
I would be surprised if it worked on any WFF watch due to the fact that Facer uses OpenWeatherMap for its weather source. Samsung uses The Weather Channel, but my Fossil watch uses Google Weather. I also have a cheap Motorola TracFone and it uses 1Weather.
I have noticed the same thing after the update some older faces install but do not fully support OS6 features. Might be worth checking if the developer has pushed an OS6-compatible update yet.
