Geoff Peterson TLLS

I’ve been busting my gut watching Craig Ferguson late late show vids, for the past week, and decided I needed a Geoff Peterson watch face.
very simple no frills, but that’s the way, uh huh uh huh, I like it.

Very cool! Don’t know how the world has managed without it

I would have put a bunch of really complicated things in there that would be imperceptible on a watch face.

I have contemplated the idea, that if you press on the screen, a random speech bubble quote comes up… Balls.

I was thinking having the arm upset the minutes when it’s lifted. But your idea is better.

I’m going to have Geoff’s arm go over the top of the time, when I have the time

published, let’s see how long it stays up for.

I want to have a random speech bubble appear, for a brief time on wake up, and then disappear, is that do-able?

@Gecks70 Do you want the Bubble to fade away or flash Off .

Here is an inspectable test just play with the numbers . Let us know if it is NG

brilliant, number 2 looks a lot nicer, I’ll incorporate that in, thank you!

If you need something more clever than that let us know. #DWE# wrangling is quite good fun. Ther are ways to make things smoother. Give us a shout if you get stuck.

i got stuck implementing that, I thought I could just tack it on the end of what I had.

Hey sorry I was doing something else . Did you inspect the Formulas in that Face ? You will note that all the effects are achieved by manipulating the Opacity . This assumes you are not playing with a Sequence which will make it a different matter .

so I’m currently using six images, to appear randomly using the following, $(wakeRand(1,6))==5?100:0$. how would I go about incorporating the fade formula along with it?

Sorry we have a Time Zone Lag. I presume you want it to fade in. We have kind of covered it with the bubbler fade test. You have to replace the 100 in you Wake formula. With the fade up code. But you will have to invert it. I am in bed sat the moment ant not smart enough to remember the formula but I think we have to delete a 100 from that and a Minus sign. I will check when I get up. I will not do the six.

See I have updated the Test above .

This is the Formula

$(wakeRand(0,2))=1?(clamp((#DWE#*44),0,100)):0$

You will change 2 to 5 and 1 according to image number 0 to 5 ( zero included ) . You will change 44 as the speed , the higher the number the faster the fade in . So if it was 100 it would fade in one second .
Get back when you can .

sorry for the delay in replying, haven’t been feeling the best.

brilliant that works beautifully, I’d like to try having the speech bubble fade out though, after its instant appearance on wake up.

Not sure what you want . So the speech bubbles are going to have random sayings an both fade as per bubble fade .

Here is the test again . Hopefully you copied the Formula as this is obviously changed look for the -1 after the DWE , that is the do noting period in seconds , after that is starts fading .

I’m looking at having the speech bubble appear, as soon as you raise the wrist, and then fade out, so you can see the whole animation behind it. then each time you raise your wrist, the next random speech bubble will appear
