I pass. It might have big muscles and neat features, but its face is not tempting to me. Despite wearing my favorite color.

I just had to see…

  • Run time

Approx. battery operating time: 5 months on rechargeable battery (operation period with normal use without exposure to light after charge) 29 months on rechargeable battery (operation period when stored in total darkness with the power save function on after full charge)

A little bit better than Samsung watches!

I have not read the Promo . I must go back . It seems like from what they are saying it is Solar Powered . One Day Hey . I mean one Day Smart Watches will be Solar Powered . Or by Air Pressure changes like the ATMOS . A Heat Exchanger would not be beyond the Realms even now .

Thanks @masterboyhr for posting a Decent link .

Not only is it Solar Powered it connects via Bluetooth to keep the time updated and download Diving Logs etc . Also has a serious bit of Voodoo for s mechanical watch .

fROG VOODOO

Something like that is already out there, just not powerful enough to supply the popular resource-hungry OS

Hey Peter Thanks for showing us that . I see it has Solar Backup . I love the direction this topic is going . I also see that it has a Display and it is connectable . When I started in the Workshops I worked in the Model Plane enthusiasts said there was no way a Plane could Fly other than round a Pylon because the power to Weight Ratio was all wrong . Well that was not very long ago  :joy: :+1:

Casino do not seem to be too upset about thier name being used on Facer but this would not last Long Published I don’t think .

I find a lot of the G-Shock series appealing, but I soon came to the conclusion, that I did not want to copy them and secondly, the housing make a big part of the looks. So something seems missing in the above samples.

A little off topic, but I gave it a go when someone wanted the Baby-G, but it was just not my thing…

Here’s want I did, never published it…

Every now and again I think we need a Topic that Rambles . Rather that than a Tumble Weed Topic . I agree those Ruggedised Watches are designed from Front to Back . The Face is almoust desinged to fit in with the Rubber . That is the Skill in the Virtual making . To bring some style without the Bespoke Case . Get that Baby Face out there . I would go a bit more Pink . Great 3D rendering .

I have found an interesting article about earlier body-heat-powered watches. Funny thing is this part, which explains the need for backup:
Note: The watch is designed to perform best when worn in an environment with a temperature of around 25°C or less to provide the maximum difference between the wearer’s body heat and the surrounding air. Unfortunately this can make it unsuitable for many environments where average temperatures are much higher than this. When worn outside in a hot environment the watch may stop generating power and will revert to power save mode until the wearer returns to a cooler location such as an air-conditioned office.”

Yeah . A heat exchanger / pump works on the difference of temprature . There will always be losses so the difference has to be substantial .
Ha Ha . I always thought this work on Air Pressure changes . I will do some more reasearch . I have to wash the Dishes right now .
