I’m a bit concerned due to a lack of knowledge and understanding on my part. I’ve been holding back on moving from android 14 to 15 because of compatibility with other software on my phone. Is there anything that i shoild be aware of when making the move regarding Facer Creator etc. It will also download a load of security fixes that are also waiting. I have also stopped automatic downloads to my watch as i also don’t know how far to go with it, or even if i should.
Any advice will be gratefully received

Android 15 doesn’t directly affect Facer Creator.
The desktop version works as usual, and the Facer app on your phone should still work, you might just need to recheck permissions or reconnect your watch after upgrading.
And it also does not change/effect the Wear OS version on your smartwatch.
The Wear OS update is released separately, directly by the watch manufacturer.

I had a CHAT with a Samsug Technical Advisor he told me that the only step I can take to avoid my GW5Pro Updating to OneUI8 is to switch of the Auto Update . How much we get hasseled after that is anyones guess .
BTW my Phone is on OneUI7 Android15 .

I accidentally updated GW5PRO to OneUI8 and now some of my watchfaces are showing 'Not Available '. All my watchfaces in my watchbox showed WFS ok ( sometimes only wear OS and Tizen and sometimes nothing) before the update. I don’t have so many watchfaces so it’s not a big deal if it only means making them WFS compatible.

That’s what I would do. I’ve also updated my private unpublished faces to WFF compatibility and haven’t looked back.

Just had a very very bad experience. On my GW 5 pro I refused always any upgrade. Yesterday my GW app on Android, on clicking icon there opened choice menu, cancel and upgrade. Chosen cancel led to no action on app. No access…Reboot, same experience. So I chose update. Seemed okay. Till today, Ui UI8 installed -WELCOME- and + 2.000 awakening animated Faces in the toilet and please don’t ask how that feels and no, I ain’t got time for WFF sh… faces.

Bless . Yes I tried hard to avoid updating my watch . Even GW4 Classic got an update . The TV took an update today . It is almost impossible to avoid . The TV said it was TIZEN OS but updated to One UI8 . I did not think Tizen would get updated .
