Hands with 2 segments

I found this watch interesting but did not want to copy it. The math is probably not that trivial… follow the dots and the numbers, and you’ll see what I mean.

I have not seen anyone trying something similar, except @Zieneth:

This what I came up with:

If anyone else has done something along these lines, do post it.

Actually it is. The central gear is fixed and first part of the hands moves as regular hand would. It carries the pivot of the end segment of hand on its end connected to the other gear. That forces the other gear with end segment of hand to rotate twice as fast as the first part of hand. Funny is path of the tip of the hand, something like double spiral.

So all you do is to add the first segment as a hand and the second make orbit around circle and rotate twice as fast.

I quickly cut the elements from that image just to demonstrate the math. I do not plan to publish it in any form. (I do not plan on getting watch for this platform.)
