I’ll wait to see what happens if @richpdcomm does it and what his experience is first.
I’ll give it a try this evening.
Had some spare time. I uninstalled from watch and reinstalled (did not uninstall phone app.)
Watch is now updated to 4.2.7.13. Thanks!!
Just curious… any release notes on the current version?
Great news! We’ll share the release notes in New releases - FACER Community as soon as 4.2.7 is available to everybody - there are still some users who don’t have access to this release unfortunately due to publishing issues with the Galaxy App Store. Should all be resolved by the end of this week.
Sounds good.
I really enjoy developing for Facer (just gotten started) and much prefer it to some of the other development environments.
I know that Apple limits some of the phone-watch functionality, but I’ve found the OpenWeathMap API to be much more reliable on the Facer platform than others. The tags give me a lot more functionality as well.
I completed the survey recently. Any thoughts on the possibility of Heart Rate, Barometer, GPS, Floors Climbed tags? Would also love to see touch to launch watch apps.
Thanks again for the quick response on this issue.
HCETEHT… you can safely uninstall and reinstall. My watch pairing was unaffected and was able to begin re-sync of watch faces without any trouble. I just tested on my wife’s iPhone X as well as my 7+.
Mine updated as well. What’s the best way to get back the faces you previously had?
Unfortunately, memory… mine.
I probably should have cautioned you to make a note of the faces that you had installed that you wanted to reinstall.
It’s actually good for me to periodically start fresh. Over time, I have faces installed that I no longer use.
I usually browse faces via my computer and make note of the developer/face name to install from my phone. It’s easier to see the face, run the time machine and view notes from the developer.
I’d also like to have the ability to purchase faces for IOS installation. That’s a gap that I’d like to see closed. I’m happy to pay developers for their work, but that doesn’t seem to be supported for the IOS environment yet.
All good. Thanks for the help though.
Sadly, yes.
My battery life is an issue now. I even started another message thread asking if anyone knows of specific features (e.g. weather) that is consuming more power than others.
I tried a plain face without features and having the same problem.
I have an app on my watch called Battery Graph. It’s a great tool.
My battery was draining yesterday at the faster rate that began with 4.2.7 and suddenly the bottom fell out and it dropped nearly 30 points in an hour.
I have WiFi turned OFF, but no change.
Hi guys - Thanks for the reports! We’re looking into this.
I continue to see very poor battery life as well. I’m having difficulty making it through the day without topping off the battery. The power is dropping to from 100% to 15% after only 12 hours most days now.
