I am working on this as an example of smooth joined up Scrolling . I am not sure or forgot if #DWE# scrolling is broken or is it my Watch ( GW5 Pro ) . I was hoping to use that timer so it showed on the previews . Looks like I have to go to #DWFSS# .
While you are there any suggestions for the other windows . I was going to have weather for today and tomorrow in one and some health stuff in another . Do we think too much scrolling is Pushing the Processor . I must check that my rectangles are not massive images . I just grabbed them out of the bits box without checking them .
Am I just wasting my time .
.
,
That’s a great idea, great out of the box thinking
I only see 1 empty window and your idea of 2 Weathers in there sounds good, with nice Icons.
I’d have the scrolling going in the opposite direction as well and don’t forget you’ll need a completely separately created design for the AOD.
Thanks Mate . Yes I have a few Rectangles to put in yet . I was looking at continuity just now . I did not want to got too far if the processor will not handle it . Yes , interesting about AOD . No scroll . Might have to be a real Joker . Sadly making it go the other way is not just a matter of putting a Minus Sign in . Read Left to Right . Right .
I used these formulas below.
So you need 4 elements with each X values as:
((360-(((#DWFSS#)*7)))+1850)
((360-(((#DWFSS#)*7)))+1260)
((360-(((#DWFSS#)*7)))+700)
((360-(((#DWFSS#)*7)))+140)
I’ve used lots of scrollers before, especially in some Christmas Faces
Thanks so very much Tom . are they going the other way . Simple for me to Test . Do you think I am pushing it . I will probably end up with 100 layers each with its own Scrolling Formula in X pos ?
Ah yes, goes from right to left.
Yes, lots of layers, every one of them 4 times, unless someone comes up with a better formula…
Should work with 100+ layers…
I see only one issue. Most watches when you twist your wrist to wake them up, only stay active for 5 seconds at most. You might need to speed up the scroll slightly so that all the data displays at least once.
Yes . Thank you MAG . It started with one Window and a rubbish formula . Sometimes you have to go back with one eye on what it is like in reality . I think I will end up with a Field 640 PX wide so about 2 screens worth . I never really have a Strategy I just start and it grows from there :::)))
very cool!
Well I got some test bits going the other way . Using #DWFSS# Is still jumpy . I think I will abandon this one . I have a big issue on the minute . Some stuff can not be Done by trial and error .
.
I would maybe split it and left the time bubble in place and let the other bubbles scroll beneath it. They do not use whole screen height anyway.
Hey Pete Thanks . Yes I am more concerned about smoothness . I have done a lot of this joining up rotating world maps etc . Sadly I can not remember it and this stuff is different. If I spit it into 3 pages and use the strategy I used for the world maps I can get it to work .
I have an element in my Private Face thst is Jumpy now . It has been smooth for two tears . It is a little satellite that orbits my Moon Phase gadget . I think Facer has Broken #DWFSS# now .
Very interesting watchface. Fun!
I would place Time on the top without scrolling and maybe Date on the bottom.
Or at least on top of every page.
Otherwise it will not be as usable as it should be.
I mean, it’s a watch, in my opinion Time should always be visible.
Just a suggestion.
Yes Good call . I saw a Face made by another but it had Gaps . I was just trying to make an example of Continuous scrolling . I have done it a few times but never remember what I did . I should go back and check . Because I get there by trial and error I don’t always have a good understanding of how I made it work .
That’s why it’s fun every time!
Indeed . It is all fresh and New every day . I actually surprised how much of the Formulas I can remember . When I started I thought " I will never remember any of this " . I started with Sinclair BASIC . IF … THEN … ELSE …
Commodore 64 BASIC… with tape drive…
Oh the Joys . ZX81 and BBC B MICRO was the same . I could not Believe my first Floppy Disc Drive . It was bigger than the Cassette Tape Player . The sense of achievement when the Programme Ran .
