It shouldn’t be a problem to add more function indicators.
It was immediately taken down because it allegedly violates the rules, I couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it. Finally I managed to publish the watch face with this description.
One dial, many faces
It shouldn’t be a problem to add more function indicators.
So in the description where there is a list of listed functions or options, don’t let it go, Marvin, it violates the rules. I don’t understand this anymore.
Plus, I’m now seeing that the watch face doesn’t have a LIVE status, but this status: Ready for Publish
If it says ready for publish you probably check “manual publish” instead of “automatic” when you submitted it. So you can click on the 3 dots below the face in the dashboard to make it live whenever you want to. Just be sure to have a copy first because going live is when Marvin will strike. btw… does the violation notice say TOS or Trademark? The TOS is the graphics scan which is absolutely nuts presently with tons of false positives. They are aware and working on it. If it said “possible trademark…” then that would be the wording in your description.
I just had 3 all rejected for possible TOS violations which concerned me because you had mentioned it had to do with graphics. I only changed the descriptions on all 3 of them and totally dumbed them down. I didn’t use any weird syntax like “”, /, (), either. They all passed the 2nd time which is good but I am still unclear if they were flagged for words or graphics. In any event, going forward, no more long-winded descriptions and whatever I want to say will be included in media/video that I may add.
First I tried changing the names, I didn’t touch the graphics at all because I know it’s completely created by her. It wasn’t until I changed the description and deleted everything the watch face can display that it worked.
it seems a mess presently. I haven’t had any of these false positives myself in this recent wave, but I keep hearing about them in every corner. It used to always and only be issues with the wording, but seems it’s the graphics filter now that is over aggressive (or blind). I guess this too shall pass
Why the graphic filter, I’m writing that the publication only passed after removing the description about the dial and not any graphics. Just text like analog, weather, just a description of the functions and Marvin screwed up.
The people using Nike, or Disney characters or Charlie Brown characters are not Partners, so because they are not getting paid for their face, Facer likely doesn’t pay as much attention, if at all. Words get triggered automatically.
Well, I think this fits in here. I got the same face struck twice this morning. I figured it might be the words in the face. I reposted one with no words at all. It was immediately removed. But sadly, I posted a blue version of the same face two days ago and it was fine. @Facer_Official you need to get your act together. It’s no wonder people are migrating over to TIMEFLIK.
I just got a reply from Facer and I guess I misread the takedown email.
As you can see in the rejection email, the cause of the takedown is not copyright-related.
The watch face was taken down because of a false positive of the anti-NSFW system; we are aware of the issue and are looking into it. It will be fixed soon. I will keep you posted!
Thank you for your patience!
Their email stated “Terms of Service” with a link to the complete terms nothing singling out NSFW anywhere in the email.
yeah that’s pretty much what we’ve heard is going on. The anti-NSFW system is seeing boobs everywhere. which is why if the removal email says “trademark violation” it’s likely title/description text related and if it says TOS its boobs hidden in your graphics
I have decided that in the future when Cyberdyne Systems creates Skynet, it’s going to be an AI bot based on Facer’s Marvin that kills us all for TOS and trademark violations.
