Location FONT problem

I’m trying to solve a problem I’m facing (pardon the pun) with the location tag. As far as I understand the tag gives both upper and lower case results ie Los Angeles. What I want is LOS ANGELES. Actually I’m interested in only the first three letters and/or spaces. What I’m looking for is a monospaced font with uppercase letters only. I thought i found a couple of fonts that would be ok but one didn’t work with Facer and the other was a display font where some letters were a bit strange.

Can anybody point me in the direction of such a font, or, tell me how to force the location tag to give capital letters only?

Can you not just click the caps lock button?

Monospaced fonts should not be that hard to find . I know Peter has made some so I know about those . You just have to sign up . Well worth it .

I maybe pointed them out in past and when I started to make fonts my self, monospaced were more in my focus, but meanwhile these are only fraction of my published fonts.
Even Facer creator offers many monospaced fonts under description “fixed width”

There are also places where you can find plenty and filter as you like. Like @Rator stated above, you do not need caps only font, there is setting for that.

If you aim to mask the rest behind third letter, this can result in very many places with same abbreviation like LAS or SAN

This is all for my Flying Weather watchface I want the user’s Location to show up as the first three letters and in uppercase (this is the formatting used in a METAR weather report for pilots) it doesn’t matter that there are duplicate locations it is just for the user. So…if @Rator 's solution means that those 3 letters will show up only as uppercase on the user’s watch, then that’s an easy solution.

Okay if the answer is something different then …as has been said, there are probably 100+ monospaced fonts including those in Facer but they all include both upper and lower cases and I think that the location tag uses both and I need ONLY uppercase.

Test it . I am sure what @Rator has shown will do the trick . If you make something I will happily test it . If we drive arround here where I am I can get a few locations a Day . I can put a draft of yours on my watch . I have Location on my Personal face . I use upper and lower . I can make you a test but it might make sense if you do it .

@russellcresser thanks for your kind offer but I did as you suggested and above is my test watch. I also tried @Rator 's solution and it does seem to work - it seems I was drastically overthinking the problem! Better than underthinking it I suppose!

For me it is Overthink it . Get it and use it twice . Promptly forget where I stashed the Formulas and quite forgot the Title of the Face . What to do ? Start Again . It is always Fun .

On my creator it is working.
I would also suggest to put the mask and text below the bezel, so that even longer names will be covered

Yes indeed - this is just a test face, i used an old unfinished face for it. I will apply this to my Flying Weather face. Thanks for your help

Thanks for testing - i can see that I will have to better align the blank…

We are talking a Pixel or Two . We often get tiny diffrences between Creator and Watch . We have to make some tolerance in what we do to accomodate the different pixel counts .

Can you actually get the weather for Penzance? Probably Cornwall.

Is it just my imagination, or does the Sans-Serif list have fonts with serifs?

Yes but it is not terribly accurate . I have today and tomorrow on my Presonal Face and look at the trend . I have Winds speed and Direction which Samsung / Google can not provide as standard . I am not a sailor / fisherman but these things like the tides are important if you live in Cornwall .

You are familiar with The Pirates of … ?

We have an Open Air Theater down here on the Cliffs called The Minnack . It was the Passion of a Lady that has since gone but not long ago. One birthday treat was to see The Pirates of Penzance there . With the Sea as the back drop .

You actually live in Cornwall somewhere? It’s a haul up the coast I imagine, but you’re near Tintagel as well.
