Why is does it take so long to update weather locations

It’s not your location it’s showing but where it’s getting its weather info from ie a weather station- you can move around quite bit and still be in the same ‘location’. I believe also it only updates every 15 minutes or so anyway. So
together it can seem a long time i do agree.

Your Named Location comes from Open Weather to your phone on a Data Connection then via Bluetooth to your watch . If you need to know exactly where you are get a decent map switch the GPS on your Watch ( outdoors ) . You could always use a Compass Face and do a Bit of Resection to get you Location . It has been said that loading the Open Weather App to your Phone gives you a more current reading . I am always surprised when I am on the Train that my watch has a rough Idea where I am at all .
