Cool stuff. My only negative going critique is that the flare is a bit distracting but not a dealbreaker.

very nice effects ! just one question do you animate the balance wheel in rotation or you just use an animation sequence ?
I try never to use animation sequences if possible i just stick to the maths
The maths for that balance wheel is very simple just
(sin((#DWE#)/0.05)*160)
But the wheel itself has to have a radial blur else it can look awful. the wheel i made for this one is
