Good things coming for new Wear OS watches!

Wear OS Update - April 2025

Fully supporting the latest Wear OS watches remains our top priority at Facer!

As many of you know, our full Facer experience is not available on the latest Wear OS watches due to a new Google “Watch Face Format”. Read more on this here.

In the meantime, if you do have a new Wear OS watch that doesn’t fully support Facer, you can try out some great faces today! We converted a number of faces to the new format. Additional faces were just added this April too - read below for more details! These faces can be seen in the Facer phone app, and if you are using one of the new watches, selecting a face from our app launches you into the Google Play Store to download the individual face.

We are not stopping there! We have been fully focused on supporting Watch Face Format and working closely with Google in general to move forward key initiatives that will bring full Facer support back to Wear OS. Stay tuned for more updates soon on our progress!

Only full continuous support of WearOS for ALL faces will “amaze me” and push me to buy a new watch. If not, too bad for all these watch manufacturers and I assume I am not alone.

It’s a great start and I’m sure it’s an iterative process, but fingers crossed news keeps getting better and better on the compatibility front :blush:

I also received the email. It would be nice if Facer would provide us with the conversion software, so that everyone of us could transfer the WF they want to the new format.

Everyone has different tastes. From what I’ve seen, it’s a good sample so far.

Yes, I won’t upgrade my watch until then but Facer has this pull so let’s give them the time to use it.
I have been vocal at the lack of official communication to this forum, and official help requests about massive bugs in the recent web updates. I am holding faith that they are transitional and not exiting failures.
