No face I create from scratch is compatible with WFF and therefore won’t sync to the watch (Samsung Galaxy 7).
There is a problem with WFF conversion right now. I’m sure Facer will be looking into the issue this coming week.
I just got a WFF watchface to publish this morning at 7:15 am Eastern time. Sounds like Facer found the glitch.
Yeah, the ones I created yesterday are now WFF compatible. Thanks for checking in and letting me know.
Good to hear
It seems everything is o.k. again! Thank you
I assume there are still some problems. If I create a new face or duplicate an existing one they won’t be WFF compatible. Also, I updated a face yesterday, the syncing appears to work (no mention of any errors) but the changes I made don’t appear on the watch.
I’ve had this happen to me a few times. Seems I have to save it a couple of times. So I hit save twice before I try to sync.
I am having this same issue, it took me resetting my watch and multiple save attempts yesterday on one face to get a font to show up correctly on my watch. I went to publish today and failed WFF even though I have green checkmarks everywhere and it’s a very basic watch.
Not all fonts are compatible with WFF. It is not a matter of resetting your watch. A better option would be to send Facer Suppoirt a message to find out what the problem is. It can take a while to wait for Facer to do testing, but you will know what the problem is.

After the soft reset it works perfectly on my watch now. It’s a font I use commonly in watches so I know it should’ve worked correctly, it threw me for a loop when I changed it to a preset font and it still wouldn’t change the font. I think it was a cache issue as I’ve seen in other posts. Now I do have a ticket in for this watch not publishing in WFF.
That is what I thought last summer when I started upgrading designs for WFF. I had several fonts that I had been using for years that literally “went sideways” . They were tested and fixed by Facer. It’s always good to let Support know so they can be proactive in case another person has the same problem.
Thank you for the information, I’ll let them know with the ticket when I get a response. I’ve only recently started designing for facer, so I’m thankful I didn’t learn before the WFF stuff became an issue.
Mind my asking but wtf is wff?
It mean Watch Face Format. It is new format for watch face code imposed by google for all watchfaces on wearOS6 and on those running on wearOS5 from factory.
Its claimed advantage should be optimized battery usage, while it actually cuts down some of the extra features, like DWE tag, stopwatches, variables, sounds, shaders etc…
WFF stands for Watch Face Format which is what Google calls it. I’m sort of surprised they didn’t call it Google Watch Format or GWF.
