Not Practical, but Fun to make

So after finding a painting of Descartes with bug out eyes, I ventured forth to make this, not practical by any means, but by jove it was fun putting it all together!

I like it - it has a style that i like. Sone time ago I nearly bought a painting of a victorian kitchen with fruit bowl, vegetables and a pheasant on a table - but what made it interesting for me was that also on the table was a sony walkman and earphones. Its this juxtaposition of era that I like.

Altered the original oil painted hands, with thicker hands, to make it slightly easier to read.

I wonder if you would get the eyes to wander . A Marty Feldman on the Minute would be cool .

Well not on the minute, and it took me some copy and pasting, along with playing with numbers to get that, I’m not too cluey I’m afraid. open inspection, so maybe you might come up with the right formula?

Not at all - it’s great!

@Gecks70 . Looks to me you got the right formula there . May be a bit less movement and a tiny bit on the Y axis . I will inspect your work when I can .:+1::rofl::blush:

Aye, I tried to play with the Y axis just a little, but I couldn’t make it work.

cheers though

May be something like this . Needs more work .

.

I had an Idea in the shower to use another timer like #DNOW# so it runs during preview . As #DWE# does not .

Ack, I inserted #DNOW# and I got mad rapid eye movement! apart from that, looking good I reckon.

Yes #DNOW# a massive number that runs in Milliseconds . We need to massage it with Modulus . It will give you a formula that is easy to adjust forcany situation . I will try get you one soon . Unless a Master turns up of coure .

Here is a Test I started .

(210+(15+(cos(rad(((#DNOW#)/17)-90)))*7))

210 is the offset from screen left of the Obit.
15 is the max move
17 is the speed
7 is half the max move

See I have used odd number to stop the pattern syncing so often
Some people use tan in there for cos or sin .

Have a play . I
I will do more later .
.

updated the x, but not the y, looks pretty good! :+1:

I got myself into a bit of a Pickle trying to get the effect to fit into the 5 second window of the preview . I have done it before with stuff but I forget it all and have to start again .

See on this one the Eye is just describing an ellipse so as not to get a jump on the 5 second . I think most understand that a jump does not show on their watches . Just a bit of silliness . See the Seconds Rotation tag I used. The Speed factor has to divide into 360 evenly . So 12 gives a 5 second cycle .
.

Played around with the numbers, and saved it, see what you think?
Also uploading all the components so you can have a proper play around.
