I’m planning a dashboard watch of sorts, and wanted to show the first piece/experiment, which is a realistic cylindrical-style mechanical odometer (with the six digits being HHMMSS, with the last two seconds both being in the inverted color that’s usually used for tenth of a mile or kilometer). It’s a little complicated getting the digits to the left turning at the right time, but I figured it out. One could use a similar effect for doing something like a slot machine, I think.
nice job @curiouskangaroo. I especially like the smooth movements in the tenths and higher numbers where there’s some pause time in-between movements.
Fantastic! This is definitely tutorial worthy
Timing on the animation is perfect! Congrats!
Really like the effect, really cool idea!
