P3 New Design Compass

I would like to show off my latest dial, it’s not new but just an update of what I did a long time ago when I was just starting out. Then he stopped and now he’s back at it again. It’s probably my most successful watch face, even if it doesn’t have 3D features and moving gadgets, it’s inspired by a tachometer from a Volvo car on the P3 platform, so the watch face is aimed at these fans.
Also, I would like to thank @Russellcresser who had tremendous patience and time to help me when I didn’t know or couldn’t. Thanks sir.

Looks fairly good to me, you need to do something with the Dim Display though, it’s all blank lol

Do you have AOD on your mind?
I don’t use it here on this watch face it makes no sense. It probably makes sense for a dial with hands. Not here. Moreover, I don’t really like this feature and I don’t like to use it. I think it’s an overall useless feature. What’s the use of a display if your hands are in your pocket or you’re not looking at it?
In addition, the dial itself is made in such a way that after sunset the dial darkens.

Excuse me: “Do you have AOD on your mind”?
I don’t use AOD ever, to conserve my battery, but I do know that if I Publish a Watch Face then other people might also like and use it, so obviously have an AOD created as well (yes, even for Faces without Hands).
When posting designs here in the Community it obviously opens them up for thoughts and ideas, so please do not think my comment was disrespectful or anything; I was merely pointing out my observations regarding your design, in the same way anyone would

I don’t think so, I just answered the reason why I didn’t do AOD. I know that there are people who like it, but with this dial, admit it yourself that it doesn’t really fit. I’m a beginner and I don’t have the same dial synchronization as the masters here. But if there were more requests from the user, I have no problem doing something to meet the requests.

Please do not think we try to force you into anything, that is not the case, the face is good as it is. Just giving reasons why to consider enabling one popular feature.
The point is, when you already publish a watch face and it finds people willing to try it, then why not give them chance to use it in a way, you do not even consider for yourself, when it does not cost you anything, just clicking on the dim mode and on few eye icons. It does not need to be completely different design in the dim mode. Simply leave some core elements like time visible, or even leave visible everything. You and many others wont see it on your watch, but it will be there, ready to please someone else.
For example I do not use AoD either, but at least for the preview I still enable it. Some faces have effect that shows at wake up and for previewing it, I have to switch to AoD and back. If I left it blank, it would feel as unfinished for me.

I don’t think so at all. I’m happy for advice from more experienced people. But I am convinced, perhaps only internally, that it does not fit into my concept. As I wrote, I’m not opposed to enabling DIM there, but I don’t know how to make it good. Adding only hours seems like a cheap gesture to me.
It occurred to me that if it were possible to animate the hand of the “fuel gauge” of the flashlight when moving the wrist, the animation would be performed from zero to the current value of the battery state. I hope I’m writing it clearly and google translate won’t distort it.
Example: In a classic car, the needle is at zero, when you turn on the key, it goes up to the current fuel level and stays there until you turn the key again. Such an animation would perhaps already make sense in AOD when the status is at zero and raising the wrist would simulate turning on the switch box and turning on the tachometer.
Is such an animation even possible in Facer?

try this to rotate the battery hand:
(-112.1+interpAccelDecel (#DWE#,0,2)*(#BLN#/100*224.4))

I think it should enable something similar to what I did here

I’ll try it tonight when I get to ntb. Thank you.
PS: what number, parameter determines the speed? If I wanted to edit it. And it will also work with the progress bar that also shows the battery status, but on the phone. Thanks

I tried it directly on the watch and it works exactly as I described. I’ll play with it tonight and try to combine it somehow with the AOD. Thank you.

Nice one Master . It seem to me you don’t have to call very Loud to get the Cavalry to turn up . Thanks for Being there Peter.

How about?
Unfortunately, I can’t set it faster, it starts like this at the beginning. When I set a higher speed, it no longer starts from zero.

That works quite well and the AOD looks good as well. Need to remove the Wake for the Gauge on AOD though, it won’t work sorry :disappointed:

And how’s that? The first sync on my GW4 Silver Classic lol

Wake for the Gauge on AOD The translator doesn’t want to translate it for me. I turned on AOD and it really doesn’t work. Otherwise, I don’t know how it is with you, but your hand is twisted. At the beginning, he drives maybe 2 times

The Wake works just fine, but not on AOD sorry, no animations work on AOD, so you’d have to remove the Wake to make the Guage read properly

But I don’t have any animations on AoD.

Your accel sweep is an " animation " . The whole strategy of AOD is to show the time but Save as much Power as Possible . So anything that uses the Seconds Tags or Sequence is NOP . I don’t know if it is still true but in my Tizen days the display shifted randomly a few pixels on each AOD . That had me foxed but it was suppose to Prevent Burn in . I don’t think anyone has ever had a watch long enough to get Burn in .

The hand on AOD is just an ordinary embedded image without a tag and other functions. In addition to time, AOD simulates the tachometer with the ignition off. So it’s just 3 or 4 .png files.

Then that’s it  Thank you for explaining, I thought it was meant to be an AOD Battery Guage sorry :joy:
