Yesterday i saw in Antwerp, my birthplace, the works of a certain James Ensor. A very interesting aspect of these art masters is how the play with light and darkness to tell a story, to emphasize or appeal to our fantasy.
Inspired by James Ensor, i made this face where i play with this concept to create beauty, i feel.
ps : green is hour, red minutes.
But what do you think about applying light and darkness in a face, especially when animated and do you search to create beauty or just a practical thing…
So, let’s hear it.

I like it a lot! Super cool! Aesthetics great, animation great - well done ! However without having AOD on i only get 5 seconds to enjoy it and it really needs at least 5 minutes! I also like to see whats on the watchface when I look at it so the sequential way of showing things is not my style. You are pushing the envelope of artistic watchfaces.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about this face. I value strong your opinion and the existence and expression of sometimes different taste adds more colour to the rainbow‘s beauty. Thx.

I love it.
I agree that I prefer readability over extensive design on my faces but aesthetics are all important too.
Though I, personally, would not find this a practical wear, it is a thing of beauty and an amazing showcase of design, skill and an eye for the spectacular. Don’t stop, please.

Hi Rob. You just gave me an extra reason not stop. Thank you for your kindly remarks and insight. I am always for looking something new, a challenge, in technical terms but also, something beautiful, although tastes can be different as they should be. Diversity is a source of wealth.
Thank you.

Indeed, and that is why I love this community. We experiment, flex, reach out, help and be helped.
Facer is more than an app. It is a community, and in that community is almost a family . I am so glad to be back after all that time.
