Just for information, I have gone through the first cycle of battery usage with my Ultra. The battery seemed to be about the same as my GW 5 Pro since I got roughly 3 days and four nights out of it. It is also supposed to get better once the software learns my usage habits. The story suggests turning off the Google wake word and Bluetooth. I turn off both Google and Bixby’s wake words since I never use them, but I have Bluetooth turned on like normal.
I synced a Face from WFS to my watch and it was running on Donkey Power for 24 Hours . Now if I am not running Facer it is Better than it has ever Been . My GW4 Classic is going down hill now . So I am not surprised with the Changes . Yes I Belive it is all down to WFF . It definatly seems like there is a Learning Curve being Run through . In my experiance it takes a Minimum of 6 charges for a Cell to get it’s Memory . I would guess 12 is Fair . Also we use thesnew devices so much more than the Old Faithfuls .
WFS = Watch Face Studio
WFF = Watch Face Format
Yes, that is my problem. Once you get used to 590 MaH there is no going back.
I hated my watch 4 for one reason only: battery life.
That’s why I’ve skipped watch 6 and now I’ll skip watch 7.
And 590 MaH battery is nothing special, it should be the bare minimum.
590 Mah battery just guarantee that I’ll have enough juice for the whole day, no matter how I use the watch.
Anything less is just not acceptable.
And Ultra is not the watch for me. I don’t hate the square design but I cannot say that I like it.
Military durability means nothing to me, I will not dive with it, I will not climb mountains.
And honestly, I don’t think people who are into extreme sports will choose this watch.
Probably not with WearOS. My first gen Galaxy Watch running Tizen has better battery life than my GW 5 Pro does with a 472 mAh battery instead of the 590 mAh battery. I can wear it for at least 4 days without charging it.
