Progress on Final bug fix for Galaxy watch 4

Your first bug fix was right after Samsung Google updated their watch for software. But that did not fix some of the problems.

There are still the issue where in the always-on mode, like the minute hand freezes. That is, it does not tick one minute off at a time in always on mode. I am not talking about the second hand which disappears.

So do you have a second update coming very soon to fix this issue with the Samsung Galaxy watch 4?

Think this is being looked at by Samsung. Can’t confirm.

At this point in time since you guys seem to want to wait for Samsung Google to do another update instead of you guys working out the bugs on your own software I’m going to discontinue my premium membership until you guys figure out what’s going on and fix it. Right now it sounds like passing the buck

The current bugs associated with GW4 are entirely due to something in their recent firmware update and can only be fixed by samsung, or so I understand. I don’t think it’s passing the buck. Samsung broke it, only they can fix it. Apparently it’s underway so hopefully soon.

Thanks for your reply when it’s fixed I will continue my premium membership but in the meantime since I like using my watch on always on mode I really don’t want to be using a face that’s going to freeze every 5 or 6 minutes for 5 or 6 minutes.

Hopefully Samsung Google will get a bug fix update quickly. They do have a couple faces that I like most of them are more like toys or cartoonish I actually like faces that are like watch face you would buy in a store on a watch.

There is a workaround now by @abhisturkibng who has found a workaround solution for the AOD issue.

Galaxy Wearable phone app > Watch Settings > Apps > Facer. Then you have to slide the switch on the Allow background activity setting.

Actually I don’t think this is a bug fix it’s actually just a setting that most likely was shut off during the update on the watch software. And unfortunately Samsung did not list that as something that should be checked after the update to make sure your third-party watch faces are still working

Regardless of whether it’s a bug fix or just having to turn the setting back on, it does work.

Thank you for finding this out

So you confirm that it works? I was enjoying Facer until that problem.

Yes it worked on my Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. When I tried it on my GW 4 “Active”, I couldn’t get it to allow me to switch on the “Allow background activity” switch for some reason. You can see it in action on this YouTube video. NEW UPDATE & Major Fix Out! (Galaxy Watch 4)
