My wife and I were out yesterday, and we met a neighbor while we were out. I noticed his Watch 8, and we got talking about watch faces. I set him up with Facer, and then I proceeded to search in the app for my Facer Page. NOTHING…so IU started searching for my watch faces by their exact names. Nothing but other watch faces that don’t even closely match what I typed into the search field. I wondered if it was just me stuff that could not be found, so I started searching for other creators, and their watch fac faces by name. No matches.
Has anyone actually tried using the search feature on Facer? I didn’t until yesterday. I’m curious if others have the same experience with the search feature. I tried using my login, incognito, and another login that wasn’t me, and no search actually worked. My stuff or anyone else’s.
I wound up having to text him a link to my Facer Page, as search just wouldn’t do it.
Are your faces enabled for WearOS WFF, or WearOS Legacy?
If your neighbour is running the newer WearOS version, then they will only see watches compatible with their watch version.
Also I don’t think Facer does partial word matches, e.g. CX will not find CX054 only whole word matches.
If I search for CX054, I get your face in search results, but not when I search CX
He’s using a Watch 8 on WearOS 6, all of my face are compatible with this set up.
Here’s what I get when I search CX054, it does come up, but it’s not the first one. On the app you have to do a hell of a lot of scrolling. to get there.
I think if you want your faces to be returned in search results for “Creative eXtremes” you’d need to add that as a tag in every watchface. If I search for jc73uk only watchfaces where i added that to Tags are returned in the search results.
